Welcome to Stonyford!
Stonyford is a ranching community in Northern California's Colusa County. Beautifully sited in a mountain plateau approximately 1200 feet above sea level, it provides entry to the adjoining East Park Reservoir and Mendocino National Forest. It is home to the annual Stonyford PRCA Rodeo and Stonyford Museum. To read more about Stonyford, its history, and photographs, click on the About heading.

Roy Stewart and Joyce Bond have co-authored an article that appears in the current issue of Wagon Wheels, the Journal of the Colusi County Historical Society. The article provides the history of the building now occupied by the Stonyford Grange #686. For reasons of space, the Wagon Wheels article is divided into two parts. The second part will appear in the Spring 2017 issue. A link to the entire article appears here and in the Grange section of this web site.
History of the East Park Dam and Reservoir
A new section has been added to the East Park Reservoir section (see tab at bottom right) that provides a detailed history of the reservoir and dam.
Museum Has New Exhibit
Come to the Stonyford Museum and get a head examined; if not your own, then one of those we have on display in our new zoological exhibit of animal skulls. There are several and each is accompanied by a bite-sized description. The display was organized by Mary Hester and Dr. Paul Ustach of Stockton College.
